and have recently married Karen Valentine-Pond. I attended Eastern
Wyoming College and UW. I graduated from the FBI National Academy and
have attained over 2700 continuing education hours. I am a member of
the National Sheriff’s Association, Western States
Sheriff’s Association, Wyoming Sheriff’s

Both the Sheriff’s Association and the
Sheriff’s and Chiefs associations have active
legislative and current affairs committees that identify,
coordinate with other associations and partners, and present issues to
our Legislature for enhanced or changes in our current state law
dealing with alcohol issues. I am currently serving on the
Sheriff’s Association Legislative Committee.

The Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with
Albany County Emergency Management, along with other Emergency
Responders from Albany County, has an All Hazards response
plan. Every two years, the Local Emergency Planning
Committee and EMA updates our county wide response plans to maintain
current and best information. Should a sustained
event occur, our plans and mutual aid agreements provide for regional
resources to be dedicated to the event under the coordination of the
incident commander.
